Council took action to appoint Patrol Officer William Elliott as the dog handler for the new K-9 Unit in the Eddystone Police Department. Officer Elliott along with experts from the Wilmington Police Department K-9 Training Program will be selecting a dog by the end of August.

Elliott and his K-9 partner will begin a six-month training program in early September 2014.
