Ladies Auxiliary representative Judith Gross addressed Council at the Regular Meeting held on January 12, 2015 to request support to begin a Blue Ribbon Campaign to Support Law Enforcement in the Borough.
Ms. Gross stated that our local Police Department does an excellent job of keeping our small town safe. The display of a blue ribbon is a simple way to say “thank you” and “we support you” to all of the police officers working in our Borough.
Borough Council was unanimous in their support of this campaign. Beginning immediately, residents are encouraged to display blue ribbons at their home in support of the Eddystone Police Department. The campaign will run through March 9, 2015, the date in which the K-9 patrol unit is anticipated to be introduced to the community.
Chief Mokshefsky thanked Council and the residents for their continued support of the Eddystone Police Department. Every officer in our Police Department, as well as officers responding from our surrounding communities, will be very appreciative of this gesture.< Back
